Vodafone Group PLC has announced the appointment of Marika Auramo as the CEO of Vodafone Business, effective from July 1, 2024. Auramo, a seasoned business leader with over 25 years of experience in the global IT industry, joins Vodafone from SAP, where she served as the Chief Business Officer for the EMEA region. Her responsibilities at SAP included driving the go-to-market strategy for the company's product portfolio across 89 countries and managing 14,000 employees.
Margherita Della Valle, CEO of Vodafone Group, expressed her delight at Auramo's appointment, highlighting her extensive B2B experience and the anticipation of her contribution as a member of the Executive Committee. Auramo herself expressed enthusiasm about the role, emphasizing the growth opportunities for Vodafone Business as organizations increasingly adopt digital tools to enhance growth and productivity.
Auramo will succeed Giorgio Migliarina, who has been leading Vodafone Business as interim CEO. The company reported a 5% service revenue growth in the third quarter, with growth across all segments driven by strong public sector demand and increasing customer adoption of new digital services such as Cloud, Security, and IoT.
