Last Thursday we hosted our 1st Half of 2023 Economic & Market Review And Outlook For 2023 webinar. Andy Ho, Chief Investment Officer, and Michael Kokalari, Chief Economist, reviewed why the VN-Index was able to deliver 11 % (in USD terms) year-to-date against the backdrop of macroeconomic headwinds.  While the economy may still have challenges, we believe the accommodative monetary policy and other pro-growth policies from the government will enable the stock market maintain its upward momentum and for the economy to pick up steam towards the end of 2023.  We expect corporate earnings to be very strong in 2024 and believe now this is a great time to add or build to your existing Vietnam exposure.
