Star Energy Group plc has announced the appointment of Aneliya Erdly as an Independent Non-executive Director. Erdly is an experienced energy executive with expertise in power projects execution and asset management. She has worked with international energy producers and has experience in building and running renewable energy generation businesses. Erdly has also been involved in assisting businesses with their energy transition strategies. She has held senior management positions and has expertise in origination and business development, project financing, and portfolio management. Erdly is currently a Strategic Advisor to NTR PLC and sits on the investment committee of Globeleq. She has also held positions with companies such as Silver Ridge Power, The AES Corporation, Trafigura, and KPMG.
Chris Hopkinson, CEO of Star Energy, expressed his delight at Erdly joining the Board, stating that her expertise in complex project development and asset management will be invaluable as the company develops its geothermal business. Erdly herself expressed her pleasure in joining Star Energy and bringing her international experience to the team. She believes that the company has made significant progress in its energy transition ambitions and looks forward to supporting them in driving this forward.
