Pharos Energy plc has announced that it has purchased 69,234 of its own ordinary shares through Peel Hunt LLP as part of its share buyback program. The shares purchased will be cancelled. The highest price paid per share was 20.7420 pence, while the lowest price paid per share was 20.5000 pence. The volume weighted average price paid per share was 20.5672 pence. After the purchase and cancellation, the company will have 432,637,875 ordinary shares in issue, with 9,122,268 held in treasury. The figure of 423,515,607 may be used by shareholders as the denominator for calculating their interest in the company. Since the initiation of the share buyback program, the company has purchased a total of 19,707,552 ordinary shares for cancellation at a cost of £4,671,583.03.
The individual transactions made by Peel Hunt as part of the program are as follows: 50,000 shares were purchased at a price of 20.5000 pence per share at 09:43:36 on the XLON execution venue, and 19,234 shares were purchased at a price of 20.7420 pence per share at 10:14:12 on the XLON execution venue.
