Pennon Group Plc has announced changes to its Board of Directors. Neil Cooper, the current Senior Independent Director, will be stepping down from the Board after serving nine years with the company. Iain Evans, a Non-Executive Director, will succeed Neil as the new Senior Independent Director, effective from September 1, 2023. Gill Rider, the Chair of Pennon Group, expressed gratitude to Neil for his contributions and wished him well for the future. Gill also expressed delight in Iain's appointment, highlighting his extensive experience in the water business and suitability for the role.

Additionally, following Neil Cooper's departure, Loraine Woodhouse, who joined the Board in December 2022, will assume the position of Chair of the Audit Committee with immediate effect. Loraine has a strong background in financial roles and has the full support of the Board in her new role.
