The transaction, valued at €2.9 billion, reflects the platform's strong performance, with Oakley Capital Fund IV realizing a gross return of 2.1 x MM and c.22% IRR on its exit. Oakley's successful partnership with idealista reinforces its track record in the digital consumer sector and highlights Iberia as an important investment market for the firm.
Oakley's investment in idealista began in 2021, and the platform has since connected around 60 thousand real estate agents with over 38 million unique monthly visitors across southern Europe. The sale continues Oakley's successful track record in the digital consumer sector, with prior investments including Italy's leading online price comparison website, Facile.it, and the leading online matchmaking platform in the DACH region, ParshipElite Group.
