NatWest Group plc has announced the purchase of a significant number of its own ordinary shares from UBS AG, London Branch. The company has bought a total of 1,135,000 ordinary shares from UBS, with the highest price paid at 279.80 GBp and the lowest at 275.90 GBp. These purchases are part of the company's existing share buyback program and were made in accordance with the instructions issued by the company to UBS on 16 February 2024.

Following the settlement of these transactions, NatWest Group will hold 149,780,284 ordinary shares in treasury and have 8,734,360,828 ordinary shares in issue, excluding treasury shares. The company has also stated its intention to cancel the repurchased ordinary shares.
