Mondi PLC has announced the appointment of Sucheta Govil as an independent non-executive director, effective from October 1, 2024. Govil will replace Dominique Reiniche, who is retiring from the Board. Mondi's Chair, Philip Yea, expressed gratitude for Reiniche's significant contributions and welcomed Govil, highlighting her extensive commercial and operational leadership experience. Govil's career spans various management roles at GlaxoSmithKline plc, PepsiCo Inc, Akzo Nobel NV, and DSM NV, among others.
Sucheta Govil will join the Nominations and Remuneration Committees upon her appointment. With Reiniche's retirement, Sue Clark will become the Senior Independent Director and chair of the Remuneration Committee, Dame Angela Strank will become chair of the Sustainable Development Committee, and Anke Groth will take on the role of non-executive director responsible for engaging with employees on behalf of the Board.
Mondi also confirmed that Dominique Reiniche will receive payment of her normal fees until September 30, 2024, with no additional remuneration or payment for loss of office. The company provided contact information for investor relations and media inquiries.
