Hunting PLC, a global engineering group, has announced the closure of facilities and the sale of its non-core exploration and production assets as part of a restructuring program to drive operational efficiencies and reduce costs. Within the EMEA operating segment, the manufacturing and assembly operations of the Group's main well testing site will be transferred from the Netherlands to Dubai, resulting in the closure of a facility in Velsen-Noord. Sales, engineering, and service support functions will be maintained in the Netherlands. Hunting's Dubai operations will be relocated to a larger facility in the UAE to accommodate the manufacturing operations of the well testing business. Hunting Titan will close its Oklahoma City operating site and transfer the manufacture of perforating systems to the Group's facilities in Pampa, US, and Monterrey, Mexico. The company has also divested the majority of its non-core exploration and production assets, reducing its exposure to future decommissioning costs. Jim Johnson, Chief Executive of Hunting, stated that the company is driving stronger operational efficiencies and making progress in delivering key initiatives in support of its strategy.
