Greatland Gold plc has announced the results of surface sampling at its Panorama project in Western Australia, confirming the prospectivity of nickel in the area. The sampling program included 27 soil samples from the Ni_04 prospect, which returned above 0.1% nickel over a 1.4km strike extent, with a peak result of 0.3% nickel in a rock chip sample. The nickel strike includes an 800 metre coherent +0.18% nickel anomaly. These results confirm the presence of nickel-enriched ultramafics in the Dalton Suite, which is a potential primary nickel sulphide host. Several untested conductors also exist within the 14km of unsampled Dalton Suite. Greatland's Managing Director, Shaun Day, expressed confidence in the potential for a substantial nickel discovery at Panorama and stated that the company is planning its next steps to effectively test the anomalies on the tenure.
