Greatland Gold plc has completed the first phase of drilling at its Paterson South Project in Western Australia. The drilling campaign, conducted under a farm-in and joint venture arrangement with Rio Tinto Exploration Pty Ltd, successfully tested the Stingray and Decka targets on the Budjidowns tenement. The drilling confirmed the presence of magnetite-rich, mafic to intermediate metamorphosed intrusive igneous rocks at both targets. Assay results showed moderately anomalous gold and copper, as well as pathfinder elements such as arsenic, bismuth, and tellurium. The completion of this drilling campaign fulfilled the minimum commitment for the earn-in agreement with Rio Tinto Exploration. Greatland Gold's Managing Director, Shaun Day, expressed satisfaction with the results and highlighted the company's commitment to exploring the Paterson region. The drilling program was completed within eight weeks of entering into the joint venture agreement with Rio Tinto Exploration. Greatland Gold will now apply its technical knowledge and expertise to further exploration in the Paterson South Project.
