Fulcrum Metals PLC has reported strong initial leaching results from the Phase 1 sampling and testing program using Extrakt Processing Solutions LLC's non-toxic technology at the Teck-Hughes gold tailings project in Ontario, Canada. The preliminary leaching results from the composite sample achieved impressive initial gold recovery rates of up to 59.4%, surpassing historical reported average grades by 16.9%. The company is now focusing on optimizing operational parameters to achieve targeted recovery rates beyond 60% while ensuring overall efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

The success of the tailings project is attributed to the efficiency and effectiveness of the technology used. Fulcrum's CEO, Ryan Mee, expressed enthusiasm about the exceptional gold grades from the initial sampling and testing program and the non-toxic technology's achievement of high leaching gold recovery rates. He emphasized the significance of transforming mine tailings from an environmental liability into a sustainable resource through innovative technology.

The Phase 1 Program, designed to evaluate the efficiency of Extrakt's processing technology in recovering gold from the tailings at the Teck-Hughes Project, has been successful. The composite samples from six sites returned an average weighted grade of 0.717g/t Au, 16.9% higher than historic sampling of the same sites. Further leach tests are underway to optimize operational parameters to achieve recovery rates beyond 60%, focusing on overall efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Fulcrum has been advancing discussions with Extrakt, a sustainable technology company, about the licensing of its proprietary technology. The company is also in discussions regarding a wider licensing framework in Ontario. The phased development program includes sampling and testing, conceptual study, and laboratory test work, with the aim of providing a compelling pathway to extract metals from mine waste through innovative technology.

The company is looking forward to providing further updates on the leaching test work optimization at Teck-Hughes and developing the exciting potential of Fulcrum's tailings business in Ontario.
