First Class Metals PLC has completed its first drilling program at the Zigzag project, which has shown promising results for potential mineral discovery. The project, located in a proven lithium jurisdiction, contains a pegmatite that hosts the historic Tebishogeshik occurrence, known for high grades of lithium and tantalum within spodumene. The drilling program intersected spodumene-bearing pegmatite in all nine holes, covering multiple mineralized zones across 400m of the known 800m strike. The nature of the intersections suggests that the system remains open along strike and down dip, indicating the potential for a large deposit. The next step is to quantify the grades of lithium in the spodumene encountered in the holes, which will help prioritize future targets and determine the scale of the pegmatite. The company plans to send around 100 samples for analysis in the lab, with results expected in Q1 2024. The successful drilling program at Zigzag, along with the progress on other drill-ready sites, positions First Class Metals well for 2024.
