Essentra plc has announced that it has purchased 65,000 of its ordinary shares of 25 pence each in the company from Peel Hunt LLP as part of its buyback program. The lowest price paid per share was 156.8000 GBp, while the highest price paid per share was 157.4600 GBp. The volume-weighted average price paid per share was 156.2466 GBp. Essentra intends to cancel the purchased shares.

After the settlement of the purchases and cancellation, Essentra will have 290,941,613 ordinary shares of 25 pence each in issue, excluding 5,039,265 ordinary shares held in treasury. This figure represents the total number of voting rights in Essentra and can be used by shareholders to determine if they are required to notify their interest in the company.

The transactions were made on various trading venues, with the London Stock Exchange (XLON) having the highest volume-weighted average price paid per share at 157.2466 GBp. The total aggregated number of shares purchased was 65,000.
