EQTEC PLC has signed an equipment supply agreement for engineering services and equipment supply for a waste wood-to-electricity plant in Wilseyville, California. The plant will convert approximately 25,000 tonnes per year of wood waste into synthesis gas (syngas) to fuel a gas engine for electricity production. It will also produce around 2,400 tonnes per year of saleable biochar. The agreement is with Blue Mountain Electric Company LLC, a project company set up and operated by Phoenix Biomass Energy, Inc. EQTEC expects to commence basic engineering work in early 2024 and invoice approximately $330,000 for this work. The company and Blue Mountain Electric Company have also agreed on a comprehensive quotation for detailed engineering, equipment, construction advisory, and commissioning services, subject to funding being secured by Blue Mountain Electric Company. EQTEC is one of three equity shareholders in the North Fork plant in California, where it is also driving for commercial operations. The Wilseyville plant represents the second project for EQTEC and Phoenix in California.
