EQTEC PLC has signed a Collaboration Framework Agreement with Tresca Energía S.A. The agreement identifies a first project for the collaboration, which would be a facility in Castilla y León, Spain, that would convert approximately 50,000 tonnes per year of biomass into renewable natural gas (RNG). The project is currently in the feasibility phase and has secured interest from a main Spanish bank for funding and offtake terms from a large gas grid operator. The collaboration will focus on developing and qualifying pipeline opportunities for RNG or methanol generation from synthesis gas produced through EQTEC's technology. Tresca Energía is an engineering, project development, and project management company with expertise in decarbonisation and new energy technologies. The collaboration with Tresca Energía will help EQTEC in its strategy of safeguarding its role as an innovator and technology licensor.
