Empire Metals Limited has announced the results of its recent Reverse Circulation (RC) drilling program at the Pitfield Project in Western Australia. The program has confirmed extensive, shallow zones of high-grade, bedded sandstone-hosted TiO2 mineralisation. The lab results from the 40 RC drillhole program completed in December 2023 have shown TiO2 mineralisation present in every meter, starting from or near the surface, in all holes drilled. Additionally, all drillholes ended in TiO2 mineralisation, with broad, higher-grade TiO2 mineralisation consistently found in the sandstone-rich beds.

The RC drilling has revealed that the shallow sandstone-rich beds and the associated higher-grade TiO2 mineralisation are continuous with the deeper high-grade diamond drillhole intersections drilled in Q4 2023, confirming the presence of thick, strongly mineralised sandstone beds that come to the surface within broad areas of the mineral system. The mineralised beds have a strike extent of at least 6 to 7km. Every drillhole encountered thick intervals of higher-grade TiO2 mineralisation, with select drill intervals showing promising results.

The company plans to commence additional RC drilling later in the quarter to further test the known areas of extensive, thick, shallow, sandstone-rich beds containing higher-grade TiO2 mineralisation, as well as several new target areas of high-grade potential identified along the length of the coincident regional magnetics-gravity anomaly. Furthermore, mineralogical studies and metallurgical test work are being expanded to accelerate the economic development of the Pitfield Project.

Shaun Bunn, Managing Director of Empire Metals Limited, expressed confidence in the ability to target higher-grade mineralisation within the giant mineral system and highlighted the success of the drilling campaigns. He also emphasized the excitement about the prospect of making further high-grade discoveries and providing additional metallurgical samples to support an economic mine development plan.

Empire Metals Limited holds a 70% interest in the Pitfield Project, which is comprised of four granted Exploration Licences covering 1,042km2. The project is located near Three Springs, Western Australia. The company's recent RC drilling program has provided valuable insights into the extensive, shallow high-grade bedded titanium mineralisation at the Pitfield Project, setting the stage for further exploration and economic development activities.
