Empire Metals Limited has reported the highest grade drilling results to date at its Pitfield Project in Western Australia. The second and third diamond core drillholes confirmed the presence of extensive, high-grade titanium mineralisation zones across thick bedded intervals to a depth of approximately 350m. The results indicate that Pitfield is a world-class, district-scale titanium mineral system. The second drillhole intersected 297.1m of 6.10% TiO2, including 51.6m of 7.12% TiO2, while the third drillhole intersected 173.2m of 5.76% TiO2, including 58.7m of 6.32% TiO2. These results complement the previously reported high-grade interval from the first drillhole. All three drillholes have intersected strong, sediment-hosted titanium mineralisation throughout their length, with the bottom of each hole stopping in mineralisation. The high-grade titanium mineralisation is located close to surface target areas identified from rock chip sampling. An extensive Reverse Circulation (RC) drilling program is currently underway to further explore the high-grade target areas. The company is also investigating the petrology and mineralogy of the titanium mineralisation to better understand potential ore processing options.
