Empire Metals Limited has completed three diamond drill holes at the Pitfield Project in Western Australia. The drilling confirmed the presence of titanium mineralisation throughout the entire length of each hole, extending over 350m vertically from the surface. Geological mapping and rock chip sampling also identified two new high-grade TiO2 drill targets covering 3km2 and 6km2 respectively. The company expects to have drill core geochemical analysis results available shortly and plans to commence RC drilling of the high-grade target areas in November. Shaun Bunn, Managing Director, stated that the recent work at Pitfield has generated extraordinary results, with rock chip samples exceeding 10% TiO2 and one exceptional sample containing 21.49% TiO2. He also mentioned that the stratabound titanium-rich mineralisation remains open at depth and along strike, indicating the discovery of a primary titanium asset of significant size and scale.
