Eco (Atlantic) Oil & Gas Ltd. has received government approval for the transfer of a 60% working interest and operatorship in the Orinduik Block offshore Guyana. The approval allows Eco Guyana Oil and Gas (Barbados) Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Eco Atlantic, to acquire Tullow Guyana B.V., a subsidiary of Tullow Oil, in exchange for upfront cash and contingent consideration. Upon completion of the transaction, Eco will become the operator and hold a 75% participating interest in the Orinduik Block. Colin Kinley, Co-founder and Chief Operating Officer of Eco Atlantic, expressed confidence in drilling the first well, targeting a stacked pay target in the well-proven horizon. Eco is now seeking qualified partners for the block and has initiated a formal farm-out process.
