Direct Line Insurance Group PLC has made significant leadership changes, appointing three new members to its Executive Committee and two senior appointments to strengthen its management capability and drive growth. The new appointments include Craig Thornton as Managing Director Home and Growth, Martin Milliner as Managing Director of Claims, and Hugh Hessing as Chief Operating Officer. Additionally, Roger Lowry has been appointed as Director of Corporate Affairs, and Alexandra Hayes as Chief of Staff. These appointments are aimed at enhancing the leadership team's skills and experience.

Craig Thornton, with a decade of experience at Lloyds Banking Group, will lead the Group's Home and Growth insurance strategies. Martin Milliner, previously at Allianz, will focus on building a market-leading claims function. Hugh Hessing, with extensive experience at Aviva and Aviva Ireland, will lead customer operations, procurement, and transformation activity. Roger Lowry, previously at QBE Insurance, will strengthen the Group's external and internal communications. Alexandra Hayes, with a background at Lloyd's and the British Army, will support the CEO across the Group's strategic priorities and deliverables.
