Costain completes milestone in innovative power generation and carbon capture project

  • Scheme will transport CO2 from carbon capture projects across Teesside, including power generation, to secure offshore storage sites in the North Sea
  • Project will help Teesside to become one of the UKs first decarbonised industrial clusters as part of the East Coast Cluster (ECC)

Costain has successfully completed a key milestone in the journey towards the UKs first fully decarbonised industrial cluster. When finished, the CO2 emitted from a variety of industries on Teesside will be captured, transported and securely stored under the North Sea.
