Coro Energy PLC has received £1 million in proceeds from the sale of ion Ventures Holding Ltd. The company has also contracted the meteorological mast for its 100MW onshore Oslob Wind Power Project in the Philippines. The mast, provided by Coastal Renewables Limited, will collect data on wind resources, which is crucial for project finance. The company has two development stage renewables projects in Oslob, including a 100MW onshore solar project. Coro Energy expects to develop these projects through to energization but also considers other alternatives, such as regional project finance or an outright sale of the projects. The existing LiDar will continue to support the met mast data. Michael Carrington, Managing Director of Coro Renewables, stated that the deployment of the met mast will help de-risk the project.
