Cornish Metals Inc. has announced the appointment of Fawzi Hanano as Chief Development Officer. Hanano brings over 20 years of experience in the natural resources sector, including roles in mining equity research and investor relations at global investment banks. He will be responsible for increasing institutional investor awareness of the company's progress at the South Crofty tin project in Cornwall, UK, as well as planning future capital raising for project construction. The South Crofty mine is a historic, high-grade underground tin mine that closed in 1998. It has planning permission for underground mining and the construction of a mine water treatment plant. The project has strong local community and government support and could generate 250-300 direct jobs. Tin is considered a Critical Mineral, and responsible sourcing and security of supply are important factors in the energy transition and technology growth. Cornish Metals is focused on advancing the South Crofty project and exploring additional mineral rights in Cornwall.
