Cornish Metals Inc. has released its unaudited financial statements and management's discussion and analysis (MD&A) for the six months ended July 31, 2023. The company highlights several key developments during this period, including an updated JORC (2012) compliant Mineral Resource Estimate for the South Crofty mine, which showed a 31.6% increase in contained tin in the Indicated Mineral Resource category for the Lower Mine. The company also completed a drill program to collect samples for metallurgical testwork as part of the South Crofty Feasibility Study, and the construction of the water treatment plant (WTP) was completed. Wet commissioning of the WTP has commenced, with mine dewatering expected to begin in October 2023. Two submersible pumps were installed in the New Cooks Kitchen (NCK) shaft, and a fifteen-month power supply contract was agreed upon for the provision of 100% renewable power. The company has also ordered two single drum winders for shaft re-access work and is conducting remedial work on the south headframe and winder building. Additionally, a follow-up exploration drill program has commenced at the Wide Formation target in the Carn Brea exploration area. The company's CEO, Richard Williams, expressed satisfaction with the progress made and stated that the feasibility study is on track for completion in 2024.
