Burberry Group PLC has announced that it has purchased 505,173 of its ordinary shares from Morgan Stanley & Co International Plc on the London Stock Exchange and Multilateral Trading Facilities. The purchase was made in accordance with the authority granted by shareholders at the company's Annual General Meeting. The highest price paid per share was 1,729.5000 pence, the lowest price paid per share was 1,693.0000 pence, and the average price paid per share was 1,714.5300 pence. Burberry intends to cancel the purchased shares.

Following this transaction, Burberry now holds 5,232,720 of its ordinary shares in treasury and has 360,537,089 ordinary shares in issue (excluding treasury shares). The total number of voting rights in the company will be 360,537,089. Since the share buyback program began, Burberry has repurchased a total of 9,244,705 ordinary shares at a weighted average price of 1,795.8700 pence per share.
