The purchase was made in accordance with the authority granted by shareholders at the company's Annual General Meeting. The highest price paid per share was 1,992.5000 pence, the lowest price paid per share was 1,907.5000 pence, and the average price paid per share was 1,938.9900 pence. Burberry intends to cancel the purchased shares.

Following this transaction, Burberry now holds 5,232,720 of its ordinary shares in treasury and has 369,499,413 ordinary shares in issue, excluding treasury shares. The total number of voting rights in the company is now 369,499,413. Shareholders can use this figure as the denominator when determining whether they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, the company under the FCA's Disclosure Guidance and Transparency Rules.
