Brooks Macdonald Group PLC has announced the retirement of Andrew Shepherd, the Group Chief Executive Officer, after twenty-two years with the company. Andrea Montague has been appointed as the new Group Chief Executive Officer, effective from 1st October 2024, subject to regulatory approval. Andrea, who currently serves as the Executive Director and Chief Financial Officer, joined the Group in August 2023 and has a wealth of experience in the UK long-term savings and asset management sector.
Maarten Slendebroek, Chairman of Brooks Macdonald, expressed his pleasure at Andrea's appointment, highlighting her depth of experience, pace, and leadership. The Board has initiated a search for the Chief Financial Officer role. Andrew Shepherd, the outgoing Group Chief Executive Officer, expressed his satisfaction with Andrea's succession, stating that she possesses all the attributes needed to drive the company's strategy while maintaining its culture. The company's discretionary Funds under Management as of 31 March 2024 were £17.9 billion, and it offers outsourced discretionary investment management for intermediaries and advice-led integrated wealth management for private clients. Brooks Macdonald has fourteen offices across the UK and Crown Dependencies.
