Marking milestones: a year of project delivery
We’re hard at work getting projects ready to deliver the energy the world needs. From heavy lifting in Azerbaijan to innovative feats of engineering in Africa, we’ve hit some major milestones in 2022.
Here’s a quick preview of some of the projects in focus – all due to go live in 2023:
- At Azeri Central East, in Azerbaijan, an innovative ‘jack and skid’ technique was used to install two huge drilling modules with only millimetres to spare.
- Meanwhile, in Mauritania & Senegal, the new quarters and utilities platform for our Greater Tortue Ahmeyim gas project ‘lifted’ itself into position at the offshore hub.
- And at the bp-operated Eastern Trough Area Project hub in the UK’s Central North Sea, a flotel was successfully connected to the central processing facility to accommodate workers on our Seagull tieback project.
It’s all part of our ambition to deliver energy that is reliable, affordable and low carbon.
