BP has announced the successful start of production from the Seagull oil and gas field in the UK North Sea. The field has been developed by Neptune Energy and is connected to BP's 25-year-old ETAP hub, utilizing existing subsea infrastructure. This project supports BP's strategy of investing in current energy systems while also investing in the energy transition. The Seagull field is located around 140 miles east of Aberdeen and is a subsea tieback to BP's central processing facility of the Eastern Trough Area Project (ETAP). The development phase of the project supported 800 jobs.
