Barratt Developments PLC has announced the appointment of Nigel Webb as an independent Non-Executive Director of the company, effective from 1 October 2023. Webb will also join the Audit, Nomination, and Remuneration Committees. With over 37 years of experience in property investment and development, Webb brings a wealth of expertise to the Barratt Board. He is currently a non-executive director of Precede Capital Partners, Chair of the Construction Productivity Taskforce, and a trustee of the Victoria and Albert Museum. Previously, Webb served as the Head of Development and a member of the Executive Committee at British Land Company plc. He was responsible for leading British Land's property development activities across the UK and various sectors, as well as the delivery of the company's Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) strategy.

Caroline Silver, Chair of Barratt, expressed her delight in welcoming Webb to the Board, highlighting his experience and expertise in property investment, development, and ESG strategy.
