Barclays PLC has announced the purchase and cancellation of a significant number of its ordinary shares. The company bought 4,651,837 ordinary shares on the London Stock Exchange from J.P. Morgan Securities plc. The highest price paid per share was 216.1000p, the lowest was 213.5500p, and the volume-weighted average price paid per share was 214.6998p. After the cancellation of the repurchased shares, the company's issued share capital will consist of 14,966,463,973 ordinary shares with voting rights.

The company intends to cancel all of the purchased ordinary shares, and there are no ordinary shares held in Treasury. The figure 14,966,463,973 may be used by shareholders to determine if they are required to notify their interest in the company under the FCA's Disclosure Guidance and Transparency Rules. Since the commencement of the share buy-back program announced on 21 February 2024, the company has purchased 245,859,018 ordinary shares on the London Stock Exchange in aggregate at a volume-weighted average price of 184.5035p per ordinary share.
