Barclays PLC has announced the purchase and cancellation of a significant number of its ordinary shares. The company has bought back 1,231,538 ordinary shares of 25 pence each on the London Stock Exchange from J.P. Morgan Securities plc. The highest price paid per share was 202.1000p, the lowest was 199.4000p, and the volume-weighted average price paid per share was 201.3570p. After the cancellation of the repurchased shares, the company's issued share capital will consist of 15,006,092,261 ordinary shares with voting rights. There are no ordinary shares held in Treasury.

The company has purchased 202,799,850 ordinary shares on the London Stock Exchange since the commencement of the share buy-back program announced on 21 February 2024, at a volume-weighted average price of 179.5586p per ordinary share. Shareholders and others with notification obligations can use the figure 15,006,092,261 as the denominator for the calculation to determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, the company under the FCA's Disclosure Guidance and Transparency Rules.
