Barclays PLC has announced the purchase and cancellation of a significant number of its ordinary shares. The company bought 5,369,000 ordinary shares of 25 pence each on the London Stock Exchange from J.P. Morgan Securities plc. The highest price paid per share was 208.3000p, the lowest was 204.5500p, and the volume-weighted average price paid per share was 207.0715p. After the cancellation of the repurchased shares, the company's issued share capital will consist of 14,836,259,187 ordinary shares with voting rights, with none held in Treasury.

The company has been engaged in a share buy-back program since February 21, 2024, and has purchased 378,746,032 ordinary shares on the London Stock Exchange in aggregate at a volume-weighted average price of 194.3155p per ordinary share. Shareholders and others with notification obligations can use the figure 14,836,259,187 as the denominator for the calculation to determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, the company under the FCA's Disclosure Guidance and Transparency Rules.
