Barclays PLC has announced the purchase and cancellation of a significant number of its ordinary shares. The company has bought 5,219,000 of its ordinary shares of 25 pence each on the London Stock Exchange from J.P. Morgan Securities plc. The highest price paid per share was 217.9500p, the lowest was 213.0500p, and the volume weighted average price paid per share was 216.5154p. After the cancellation of the repurchased shares, the Company's issued share capital will consist of 14,801,610,266 ordinary shares with voting rights. There are no ordinary shares held in Treasury.

The company has purchased 413,676,232 ordinary shares on the London Stock Exchange in aggregate at a volume weighted average price of 195.6712p per ordinary share since the commencement of the share buy-back program announced on 21 February 2024. Shareholders and others with notification obligations can use the figure 14,801,610,266 as the denominator for the calculation by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, the Company under the FCA's Disclosure Guidance and Transparency Rules.
