Barclays PLC has announced the purchase and cancellation of a significant number of its ordinary shares. The company has bought 3,955,000 ordinary shares of 25 pence each on the London Stock Exchange from J.P. Morgan Securities plc. The highest price paid per share was 177.7000p, the lowest was 173.8600p, and the volume-weighted average price paid per share was 175.8684p. After the cancellation of the repurchased shares, the company's issued share capital will consist of 15,128,869,043 ordinary shares with voting rights.

The company has stated its intention to cancel all of the purchased ordinary shares, and there are no ordinary shares held in Treasury. The figure of 15,128,869,043 may be used by shareholders to determine if they are required to notify their interest in the company under the FCA's Disclosure Guidance and Transparency Rules.

Since the commencement of the share buy-back program announced on 21 February 2024, Barclays PLC has purchased 65,431,294 ordinary shares on the London Stock Exchange in aggregate at a volume-weighted average price of 170.1640p per ordinary share.
