Berman will be responsible for driving operational and regulatory compliance programs across the business and leading initiatives to embed ethics and compliance within the organization. He will also help advance a culture of ethics and compliance across the company and its workforce of over 1,400 employees. Berman will report to Chris Williams, President of Balfour Beatty Communities.

Berman joins Balfour Beatty Communities from Lyft, Inc., where he developed and managed their ethics and compliance program. He has also represented corporations and individuals in internal and government investigations and worked as a Senior Counsel in the Enforcement Division of the Securities & Exchange Commission. Berman holds a Bachelor of Arts from Amherst College and a Juris Doctorate degree from New York University Law School.
