Balfour Beatty Group Chief Executive, Leo Quinn, has announced that ten successful apprentices from across the company and its supply chain have secured the coveted Founder's Pledge Award. The Founder's Pledge was launched by Quinn to commemorate the 10th anniversary of The 5% Club, which he founded in 2013 to tackle the UK's national skills shortage. Each apprentice will embark on a one-year mentoring programme, learning directly from business leaders to support their growth and success. Quinn personally gifted £10,000 to support the apprentices and address the lack of wellbeing and financial support for apprentices in the UK. Balfour Beatty has also committed to mentoring two additional apprentices from its business.
