Ascent Resources plc has released its interim results for the six months ended June 30, 2023. The company reported several highlights, including the partial settlement of a dispute with its joint venture (JV) partner, resulting in the recognition of €1,724,689 in revenue. The company also resolved a long-standing dispute with its JV service provider at a discount of approximately 30% to the claimed amounts. Additionally, the company restructured the commercial terms of its service agreement, resulting in a 55% reduction in costs. Ascent Resources has also submitted an application for a 30-month concession extension, which is expected to extend the concession expiry date to at least May 2026. The company has also constituted an arbitration tribunal panel for its Energy Charter Treaty monetary damages claim against the Republic of Slovenia. In terms of financing, Ascent Resources raised £0.4m through a subscription and placement with existing and new investors. After the reporting period, the company filed an upgraded €656.5 million Energy Charter Treaty memorial and contracted an after-the-event insurance policy for its damages claim.
