Alba Mineral Resources provides an update on the dewatering and safety works at its Clogau-St David's Gold Mine in north Wales. The company has obtained ecological permits for the dewatering and exploration of the Lower Llechfraith workings. However, heavy rainfall has caused the workings to reflood, and Alba has requested an extension to the higher rate of abstraction to continue the dewatering process. The company is also applying for variations to the discharge and abstraction permits. Safety works at Level 2 and Level 3 have been completed, and a cabin structure is being built for bat exclusion and noise mitigation. Alba is also preparing to submit planning applications for the exploitation of the waste tip at Clogau. Additionally, the company is on track to commence an aerial geophysical survey in September 2023.
