Alba Mineral Resources Plc has provided an update on its investee company, GreenRoc Mining Plc. GreenRoc has received approval from the Government of Greenland to enlarge its Mineral Exploration Licence (MEL) 2013-06, which contains the Amitsoq graphite deposit. The additional area added to the licence will secure access to land on the coast opposite the Amitsoq deposit, which will be important for infrastructure development. The licence expansion increases the total area covered by MEL 2013-06 from 48km2 to 72.52km2. The rocks underlying the added licence area are prospective for high-grade graphite deposits similar to those at Amitsoq. GreenRoc's CEO, Stefan Bernstein, expressed gratitude to the Greenlandic Mineral Resource Administration for their swift processing of the application and highlighted the government's support for responsible development in the mining sector.
