Alba Mineral Resources Plc has provided an update on the progress of ongoing works at the Clogau-St David's Gold Mine in north Wales and an extension to the option period in respect of its option over the Andover West Lithium Project in Western Australia. The company reported further improvements made to the onsite pilot processing plant at Clogau, including the addition of a milling stage to the process circuit, which is expected to improve the overall economics of gold production. The processing of Trench 3 fines, with a sampled grade of 17g/t Au, has been completed at the onsite processing plant.

The underground operations at Clogau are progressing well, with ongoing dewatering and preparations for underground bulk sampling at the primary Llechfraith Target. The company has acquired a high-powered pump for dewatering down to No.5 Level and reinstated access to the historic explosives magazine. Additionally, the appointment of Kobus Byleveldt as Mine & Operations Manager brings over 26 years of mining and management experience within the gold mining sector in South Africa and Scotland, further strengthening the team.

The option period for the Andover West Lithium Project has been extended to 18 June 2024 to enable the completion of due diligence. This update reflects the company's commitment to advancing its operations and maximizing the potential of its mining projects.
