Agronomics Limited has announced that NEOM Investment Fund, the lead investor in BlueNalu's recent Series B financing round, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with BlueNalu to commercialize, market, and distribute BlueNalu's cell-cultured seafood products. Agronomics has invested a total of $8 million in BlueNalu across various financing rounds and now holds an equity stake of 5.12% in the company. The partnership between NEOM and BlueNalu aims to develop food solutions that increase food security and improve access to healthy foods in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and worldwide. The MoU includes supporting the establishment of an incubation and food innovation ecosystem, conducting consumer research, and engaging with regulatory agencies to enable the approval and sale of cell-cultured seafood products. Cell-cultured seafood is an emerging technology that can produce seafood with the same taste, texture, and nutritional value as conventional seafood, while reducing the environmental impact of protein production.
