Agronomics Limited, a leading listed company in cellular agriculture, has announced its Capital Markets Investor Presentation series. The series will feature presentations from industry-leading companies within the Agronomics portfolio, with the first presentation scheduled with Meatly on February 28, 2024. Agronomics has invested £1.2 million into Meatly, which aims to develop cultivated meat products for the pet food industry. The company has made significant progress in developing healthy, ethical, and sustainable pet food products and aims to release its product in the UK in H1 2024.
The series aims to provide in-depth insight into the purpose, market demand, technical milestones, and growth strategy of the portfolio companies, with a Q&A session at the end of each presentation. Agronomics seeks to secure minority stakes in companies owning technologies with defensible intellectual property that offer new ways of producing food and materials historically derived from animals. The company has established a portfolio of over 20 companies in the rapidly advancing sector of cellular agriculture, including precision fermentation and cultivated meat.
Agronomics defines cellular agriculture as the direct production of agricultural commodities from living cells or single-celled organisms, completely disconnected from conventional agriculture. This includes cell culture, fermentation, and enabling technologies, which aim to provide more efficient methods for the development of cellular agriculture products, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, antibiotic requirements, land use, water use, energy use, improving animal welfare, and mitigating climate change.
The company invites attendees to register for the event using a provided link and aims to hold presentations, on average, every eight weeks. The series is expected to provide valuable insights into the rapidly advancing sector of cellular agriculture and the innovative companies within Agronomics' portfolio.
