AFC Energy PLC, a leading provider of hydrogen power generation technologies, has announced that Adam Bond, the CEO, will be stepping down from his role to return to Australia after 10 years with the company. The board will immediately commission an external search firm to identify a successor with proven capability of scaling-up similar businesses. During this transitionary period, AFC Energy will continue to benefit from Adam's experience and contacts in the industry to support the appointment of a successor. Gary Bullard, the current non-Executive Chairman, will take on the role of Executive Chairman until a successor CEO is in place.

Adam Bond expressed his satisfaction with being part of an exciting journey with AFC Energy and stated that it is an appropriate time for him to hand over, as the company looks to scale-up manufacturing and deployment of their generators and exploit the opportunities offered by their world-leading ammonia cracker technology. Gary Bullard, the Executive Chairman, acknowledged Adam's significant contribution and commitment to furthering the vision of hydrogen as the way forward to a net-zero economy. With Adam's continued support, the company looks forward to making a smooth transition and thanked him for his service.
