Acer has partnered with Plastic Bank to address plastic pollution by committing to collect and recycle at least 50 tons of plastic waste from the environment in 2024. This initiative aims to prevent the equivalent of 2.5 million plastic bottles from entering the oceans. The partnership also supports under-developed communities by allowing residents to collect plastic and trade it for income, goods, and services to support their livelihood. This collaboration aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and Acer's Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) goals, including incorporating Post-Consumer Recycled (PCR) plastic content in its products and working towards net-zero emissions by 2050. Acer's commitment to sustainability is further demonstrated through the launch of its first carbon-neutral PC, the Acer Aspire Vero 16, and its ongoing efforts to promote innovative and eco-conscious solutions for the long-term sustainability of its operations and the environment.
