Acer has expanded its wireless router portfolio with the introduction of two new options: the Acer Wave 7 and the Predator Connect W6x. The Wave 7 is designed to provide broad, reliable coverage for large homes with multiple devices, leveraging the latest Wi-Fi 7 technology. On the other hand, the Predator Connect W6x is tailored for gamers, prioritizing speed and performance for smooth online gaming experiences using Wi-Fi 6.
The Wave 7 offers high-performance Wi-Fi 7 and Multi-Link Operation for expanded coverage, while the Predator Connect W6x supports smooth and immersive gameplay powered by a 2 GHz quad-core processor and 4x4 MU-MIMO technology for speedy and reliable Wi-Fi 6 connectivity. Both routers feature Hybrid Quality of Service (QoS) software compatible with Intel Killer Prioritization Engine for accelerating and prioritizing network traffic, as well as TrendMicro Home Network Security engine built-in to ensure network safety and privacy.
The Wave 7 takes advantage of the cutting-edge Wi-Fi 7 standard, offering blazing-fast speeds up to 6400 Mbps with exceptional reliability and low latency. It utilizes 320 MHz channel support and Multi-Link Operations (MLO) technology, allowing devices to transmit and receive data simultaneously across different frequencies, significantly boosting throughput, minimizing latency, and reducing interference. The Predator Connect W6x, designed with gamers in mind, boasts Wi-Fi 6 support, delivering speeds up to 6000 Mbps and prioritizing near-zero packet loss for smooth, uninterrupted gameplay.
The Acer Wave 7 will be available in North America in Q2, and in EMEA in July starting at EUR 119 (1 pack), EUR 199 (2 pack), and EUR 299 (3 pack). The Predator Connect W6x will also be available in North America in Q2, and in EMEA in July starting at EUR 129. Exact specifications, prices, and availability will vary by region.
